Job summary

The Unconventional (TU) seeks an experienced LMS Administrator to support enterprise-wide programs and customers on a FedRAMP Moderate Moodle-based platform serving military and government learners across multiple programs.

You will own platform configuration, security posture, and day-to-day health, coordinating with the development contractor, help desk, and directors on customer conversations and roadmap discussions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in educational tech or IT.
• 3+ years administering Moodle or comparable LMS at site level including roles and permissions, enrollment methods, user groups, and plugin evaluation.
• Experience with change control in regulated environments (FedRAMP, NIST SP 800-53, DoD).
• Strong written and verbal communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, including customers.
• U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Administer site-level Moodle settings, roles, capabilities, cohorts, enrollment methods, groups, and categories.
• Build and maintain course templates/shells; manage backup, restore, and course resets.
• Configure competency frameworks, learning plans, completion tracking, and prerequisites.
• Own enrollment/access SOP; ensure correct course/role/group assignments.
• Serve as liaison with the development contractor for updates and patching.
• Translate program needs into testable requests; schedule maintenance windows.
• Verify updates in a test environment before production.
