The Unconventional (TU) is seeking a highly qualified Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator to provide enterprise-wide support to all TU programs and customers. The LMS Administrator owns the configuration, security posture, and day-to-day health of TU's enterprise learning platform, a FedRAMP Moderate, Moodle-based training ecosystem serving military and government learners across multiple programs. The role sits between the platform and the people who use it. It works with the development contractor on updates and patching, partners with the help desk on escalated user issues, and joins the Director in operational and strategic conversations with customers.

- Build and maintain course templates and shells, and manage backup, restore, and course-reset cycles.
- Configure competency frameworks, learning plans, completion tracking, and prerequisite logic.
- Own and keep current the enrollment and access SOP so the right people get the right course, role, and group.
Security, compliance, and currency

- Review application-level audit and activity logs, and support the development contractor's ATO maintenance by providing application-level evidence, such as user access reviews, role audits, and configuration records, on request.
- Keep the platform current within the bounds of what is secure and authorized: track upstream releases and security advisories, assess their impact, and recommend upgrade timing.
Development contractor liaison
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact with the development contractor that performs platform updates, patching, and custom development.
- Translate program needs into clear, testable requests; schedule and communicate maintenance windows.
- Verify updates in a test environment before production release and confirm fixes after deployment.
Plugins and integrations
- Evaluate proposed plugins and tools for security, maintenance status, compatibility, and effect on FedRAMP authorization before recommending adoption.
- Advise the development contractor on installing and setting up approved plugins and integrations, including SCORM and xAPI content packages, LTI tools, and single sign-on and identity provider connections, and verify they work as intended.
- Keep an inventory of installed plugins and integrations, with owner, version, and authorization status.
Reporting, certifications, and badges

- Train help-desk staff, instructors, and program staff on platform features and procedures.
- Join the Director in operational and strategic discussions with customers about platform capabilities, requirements, and roadmap.
