Job summary

Qualifications
- License or eligibility to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in NYS.
- Doctorate/Master’s/Bachelor’s with required CLT experience in a clinical lab or blood bank.
- Experience in assay development, validation studies, and implementation.
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and delegation skills.
- Molecular microbiology techniques and instrumentation expertise.
Responsibilities
- Perform and oversee complex molecular diagnostic testing for infectious diseases.
- Review and interpret patient test results for accuracy and quality.
- Coordinate daily lab operations and staff activities.
- Develop, validate, implement, and improve lab assays and testing methods.
- Maintain SOPs, QC programs, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Handle instrument troubleshooting and maintenance; manage inventory.
