Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist to lead daily operations in the Molecular Microbiology and Virology Laboratory. You will perform complex molecular testing, mentor staff, and drive assay development and validation in a mission-driven environment.

You will oversee quality programs, collaborate cross-functionally, and support continuous improvement of laboratory processes to ensure accurate patient results and high-quality diagnostics.

Qualificações

• Full NY CLT licensure or eligibility within six months.
• Doctorate/Master/Bachelor with required clinical laboratory experience.
• Experience in molecular microbiology/virology and assay development.
• Strong mentoring, leadership, and regulatory compliance skills.

Responsabilidades

• Perform and oversee complex molecular diagnostic testing for infectious diseases and other specialized laboratory services.
• Review, analyze, and interpret patient test results to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Assist with coordinating daily laboratory operations, workflow assignments, and staff activities.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to laboratory team members.
• Support the development, validation, implementation, and continuous improvement of laboratory assays and testing methodologies.
• Help develop and maintain standard operating procedures, quality control programs, and quality assurance initiatives.
• Coordinate instrument troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and operational issue resolution.
• Utilize laboratory information systems to document, track, and report patient results.
• Assist with regulatory compliance efforts and help ensure adherence to laboratory accreditation and quality standards.
• Participate in research, method evaluations, and the implementation of new technologies and instrumentation.
• Monitor inventory levels and help ensure the laboratory has the supplies and resources needed for daily operations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support exceptional patient care and laboratory excellence.
