Job summary

Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center in Buffalo, NY seeks a Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist to lead quality assurance and regulatory initiatives within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. This role partners with laboratory leadership to maintain the Laboratory Quality Management System and ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

• License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State, or eligible for licensure, or physician licensed in NY.
• Clinical laboratory experience in pathology or related disciplines.
• Experience with quality assurance, regulatory standards, audits, and accreditation surveys.
• Knowledge of KPIs, process improvement, and document control.

Responsibilities

• Support quality assurance and regulatory activities across Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
• Maintain and strengthen the Laboratory Quality Management System.
• Review procedures to ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance.
• Conduct audits, analyze findings, and drive quality improvement.
• Monitor quality indicators and assist with CAP/CLIA compliance initiatives.
• Provide guidance and training to staff on quality processes.
• Assist with document management including policy and SOP reviews.
