Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist to help lead the daily operations of our Molecular Microbiology and Virology Laboratory, supporting diagnostic testing that guides treatment decisions.

This role combines advanced technical work with leadership responsibilities, overseeing molecular testing, mentoring staff, and collaborating on assay development and validation.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in clinical laboratory setting, particularly molecular diagnostics, microbiology, or virology.
• Strong knowledge of molecular testing methodologies and laboratory instrumentation.
• Experience developing, validating, implementing, or optimizing laboratory assays.
• Mentoring, training, and supporting the development of others.

Aufgaben

• Perform and oversee complex molecular diagnostic testing for infectious diseases and other specialized laboratory services.
• Review, analyze, and interpret patient test results to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Coordinate instrument troubleshooting, maintenance activities, and operational issue resolution.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and training to laboratory team members.
• Support development, validation, implementation, and continuous improvement of assays and testing methodologies.
