Job summary

PPL Corporation in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Senior Manager, Modern Workplace Architect to lead strategy, architecture, and engineering of a secure, scalable colleague technology experience. You will own workstation engineering, mobility, endpoint security, patching, and VDI platforms, with a focus on Intune, Autopilot, and AI-enabled productivity.

Qualifications

Required 10 years in end-user tech leadership with 3–5 years in management.
Proven track record defining enterprise tech standards and roadmaps.
Strong background in hardware, OS, software distribution, and endpoint management.
Experience with Office 365, plug-in management, and virtual client environments.
Vendor management, budgeting, and deployment project experience.
Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end modern workplace architecture and engineering strategy.
Be the single point of accountability for architecture and integration decisions.
Guide cross-functional design across workplace tech, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and ServiceNow.
Own Workstation Engineering, including Windows endpoint architecture and image engineering.
Own Intune and Windows Autopilot strategy, policy design, and device onboarding.
Govern software packaging, distribution, and deployment across endpoints.
Define hardware and OS standards, lifecycle alignment, and device compliance.
Establish endpoint configuration standards and identity integration.
Lead patch and release management for OS and apps.
Own Endpoint Security engineering and enforce security controls.
Lead Mobility Engineering and secure access strategies.
Oversee VDI platforms like AVD and VMware Horizon for stability and performance.
Drive AI enablement and Digital Employee Experience tools for productivity.
Lead proof-of-concept and pilot programs for new tech.
Manage vendor relationships and licensing for workplace technologies.
Ensure rapid cross-functional issue resolution in a matrixed environment.
