Job summary

Emergent Software is seeking a Senior Modern Work Engineer to lead mid- to large-sized engagements for Microsoft 365 security and modern work solutions. The role is fully remote and emphasizes architecture, automation, and proactive delivery management.

You will collaborate with clients, guide teams, and mentor engineers while driving secure, scalable deployments across identity, endpoint, and data protection workloads. This position offers remote flexibility and strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• Previous consulting or professional services experience.
• Proven success leading mid- to large-sized client engagements.
• Accountability for delivery outcomes with clear status updates.
• Strong communication, written and verbal, with clients.
• Ability to translate business objectives into requirements.
• Advanced experience with Microsoft 365 platform and admin tasks.
• Ability to guide architecture and deployment plans with security in mind.
• Experience using automation to create repeatable deployment patterns.

Responsibilities

• Engagement Leadership: lead large engagements end-to-end and own delivery outcomes.
• Client Communication: facilitate discovery, communicate risks and decisions.
• Architecture and Solution Design: contribute to deployment plans and secure Microsoft 365 solutions.
• Security and Copilot readiness: enforce identity, endpoint, and data protection controls.
• Standardization and Automation: standardize deployment patterns and use automation.
• Problem Solving and Technical Leadership: diagnose issues and mentor engineers.
