Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking a Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to join a growing collaboration and productivity team supporting a large enterprise. Location is Nashville, TN with remote options; contract through December 2026 with potential extension or conversion.

The role focuses on modernizing the platform, improving security, and automating manual processes, including PowerShell scripting and administration across Microsoft 365 services.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft 365 administration experience in large enterprise environments.
• Experience with Microsoft security and compliance features.
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to evaluate existing processes and recommend improvements.
• Experience supporting Microsoft collaboration platforms and cloud services.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve Microsoft 365 security posture.
• Review Secure Score findings and prioritize remediation efforts.
• Partner with security teams to determine risks needing action.
• Modernize and rewrite legacy PowerShell automation scripts.
• Evaluate onboarding and user provisioning processes.
• Document current-state workflows and recommend improvements.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 administration and platform optimization.
• Support ongoing projects involving Microsoft collaboration tools.
• Research new Microsoft technologies and provide adoption recommendations.
• Help reduce manual administrative effort through automation.
