Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense has an opening for a Principal Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis Systems Engineer (level 3) in Roy, UT to support the Sentinel Program. The role covers MS&A tasks across system performance, latency budgets, and network characterization.

You will work with MATLAB/Simulink, database tools, and MBSE practices to ensure end-to-end system integrity and scalable hardware/software resources. A Secret clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM with 5+ years related experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 1 year with a PhD
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, current and within scope
• Experience with mathematical modeling and simulation
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or related scientific programming tools
• Experience end-to-end system latency analysis across hardware, software, and network components
• Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles

Responsibilities

• Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for aspects such as networking, physical security, and cybersecurity
• Perform latency analysis and allocate latency budgets across components and networks
• Network analysis to characterize link performance, latency, throughput, jitter, and packet loss
• Develop and manage hardware/software computing resource budgets for performance and scalability
• Support database management and development activities
• Coordinate with sub-contractors for compliance with SOW and governance
• Prepare content for presentations and present to stakeholders
