Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal Modeling, Simulation, & Analysis Systems Engineer (level 3) to join the MS&A team in Roy, UT for the Sentinel program. You will perform modeling, simulation, and analysis across networking, security, and latency domains.

The role requires a STEM degree with 5+ years of experience and US citizenship with a Secret clearance; SAP eligibility is needed. Expect collaboration with subcontractors and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 5+ years of related experience; 3 years with a Master’s; 1 year with a PhD
• Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, current and within scope
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period
• Demonstrated experience with mathematical modeling and simulation
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, or related scientific programming tools
• Experience performing end-to-end system latency analysis across hardware, software, and network components
• Experience developing and managing hardware/software computing resource budgets
• Experience with database management and development (e.g., SQL, Microsoft Access) in common database tools

Responsibilities

• Modeling, Simulation & Analysis for system aspects (networking, physical security, cybersecurity)
• Analyze end-to-end latency and allocate budgets across components
• Characterize link performance, latency, throughput, jitter, and packet loss
• Manage hardware/software computing resource budgets for performance
• Support database management and development activities
• Support requirement decomposition and traceability
• Support MBSE strategy and governance
• Coordinate with sub-contracted teams for compliance and governance
• Prepare content for presentations and present to stakeholders
