Job summary

ActioNet seeks an experienced mobility engineer to act as a senior hands-on advisor for enterprise mobility services in a federal context. You will lead complex technical analysis, testing, security reviews, and the evaluation of new capabilities, coordinating with Systems Architect IV and operations teams to improve service reliability.

Your role includes evaluating MaaS360, Intune, ABM, Knox, and Microsoft 365 integrations; conducting security reviews; and providing evidence-based remediation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, cybersecurity, computer science, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years supporting enterprise mobility technologies and operations, including advanced engineering and platform integration.
• Deep hands-on expertise with mobile device management, iOS/iPadOS and Android, BYOD containerization, device compliance, and mobility security.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced engineering and escalation support for device enrollment, provisioning, compliance policies, containerized applications, identity and access, synchronization, and interoperability across mobile platforms.
• Configure, evaluate, and troubleshoot agency-approved mobility technologies (MaaS360, Intune, ABM, Knox Enrollment) and related Microsoft 365 integrations.
• Engineer and maintain approved device and application configurations; assess patch impacts and implement updates through change management.
• Develop and execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and UX tests for devices, apps, controls, patches, and infra changes; document results and readiness.
• Perform programmatic security reviews at least every six months and annual OS release reviews; document findings and remediation suggestions.
• Assess and implement hardware/software hardening using DISA STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, and NIST guidance; provide evidence for authorization and monitoring.
• Coordinate with agency CSIRT for malware or data spill incidents; support scope analysis and device wipes per policy.
• Conduct vendor-neutral research and pilots; prepare semiannual service recommendations and technical briefings.
• Analyze recurring incidents and trends to identify root causes; develop troubleshooting guides and knowledge articles for staff.
