Job summary

Rezilient Health seeks aStaff Mobile Engineer to own the mobile strategy and architecture for the member app. You will lead the rebuild with a new brand, deciding where to keep cross‑platform code or go native, while mentoring front‑end and mobile engineers to deliver a consumer‑grade app.

You will collaborate with Product and UX, connect app data to care delivery, wearables, and AI features, and shape a secure, scalable experience for patients, inside a high‑impact, diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
• 12–15 years of software engineering experience, including 7+ years building and shipping native mobile apps.
• Deep, hands‑on expertise in native iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit) and native Android (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines) development.
• Shipped and scaled a consumer mobile health, wellness, or fitness app with a large active user base.
• Experience integrating health data platforms and connected devices (Apple HealthKit, Android Health Connect, wearables APIs).
• Deep expertise in mobile security and HIPAA‑aligned handling of PHI on device, secure authentication, and encrypted local storage.
• Proven mobile release discipline: CI/CD, automated testing, crash/performance monitoring, and app store release management.
• Proven technical leadership across teams and collaboration with Product, Design, and Clinical leaders on strategy.

Responsibilities

• Own mobile technical strategy and architecture for the member app across iOS and Android, including cross‑platform vs native decisions.
• Lead hands‑on delivery of the rebuilt member app and set patterns for other engineers.
• Establish mobile engineering standards for architecture, data handling, performance, accessibility, testing, and code reviews.
• Develop mature release engineering: automated build, tests, releases, code signing, phased rollouts, feature flags, and OTA updates.
• Design secure authentication and on‑device data handling for PHI with HIPAA alignment.
• Architect data flows between health data sources (Apple HealthKit, Health Connect, wearables) and clinical workflows.
• Mentor and grow front‑end and mobile engineers through pairing, reviews, and design discussions.
