Job summary

Cox Automotive, through Cox Fleet, seeks an experienced Sr Mobile Diesel Tech - DOT to perform in-field maintenance for a nationwide fleet of trucks and trailers. You will complete DOT inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance in a field setting, using company tools and TRAIT app for documentation.

You must meet DOT requirements, carry your own hand tools, and work a Sunday-Thursday schedule with remote work options where allowed. Competitive hourly pay and a new hire bonus are offered.

Qualifications

HS Diploma or GED with 5 years’ related field experience, or equivalent
Must possess own hand tools
OEM training and ASE certifications preferred
DOT-regulated pre-employment screening and DOT medical card requirements

Responsibilities

Provide mobile service and maintenance for light to heavy-duty vehicles
Perform scheduled PM and DOT inspections in field conditions
Diagnose and repair truck components (Electrical, Brake, Cooling, Engine, Transmission, etc.)
Inspect, test, and road-test vehicles to verify repairs
Manage parts inventory and document work via iOS TRAIT app
