Job summary

FleetPride is seeking a Mobile Technician III to perform preventative maintenance and advanced diagnostics on heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role includes in-shop work between service calls and potential after-hour on-call rotation at the Irving, TX location.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, with 7+ years of experience on class 7 & 8 trucks, diagnostic skills, and welding ability. A valid driver’s license is required, with Class A CDL preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Diesel technology certificate/degree is a plus, but not required.
• 7+ years of experience repairing class 7 & 8 trucks and trailers.
• Diagnostic experience.
• Training experience.
• Welding experience.
• Air Brake Certified.

Responsibilities

• Examine vehicles to determine the extent of damage or malfunction(s).
• Provide preventative maintenance solutions to customers.
• Train new service shop employees on procedures.
• Inspect orders for completion and quality before delivery to customers.
• Perform routine maintenance: oil changes, lubrication, filters.
• Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes (air, hydraulic, electric).
• Test drive vehicles and components using proper equipment.
• Troubleshoot suspension systems and diesel/gasoline engines.
• Repair fuel systems, trailers, and chassis components.
