Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an mmWave IC Design Engineer to drive development of RF/mmWave front-end ICs in advanced silicon tech. You will design PAs, LNAs, phase shifters, VGAs, mixers, and synthesizers at RF/mmWave frequencies, and collaborate with RF system engineers on chip-level specifications.

Role requires a BS in Electrical Engineering with 7+ years in mmWave/RFIC design using SiGe, CMOS, or SOI, plus hands-on experience with EM simulations and on-chip integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years in millimeter-wave/RFIC design using SiGe, CMOS and SOI.
• Strong experience with mmWave circuit topologies and integrated on-chip implementations.
• Expertise in TX/RX front-ends for complex modulated waveforms and simulations.
• Hands-on mmWave IC characterization and debugging.
• Experience with analog blocks like LDOs, bias generators, sensors.
• U.S. citizenship or lawful resident status required.

Responsibilities

• Design RF/mmWave front-end chipsets (PAs, LNAs, phase shifters, VGAs, mixers, synthesizers).
• Work with RF engineers to translate system requirements into chip specs.
• Design and simulate on-chip EM structures and collaborate with packaging.
• Supervise front-end integration and optimization through development.
• Collaborate with third-party design partners.
