Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Principal mmWave IC Design Engineer to drive RF/mmWave front-end chip development in a high-impact space applications program. You will design state-of-the-art front-end ICs (PA, LNA, mixers, phase shifters, VGAs, synthesizers) and work with system engineers to meet demanding TX/RX performance targets.

Qualifications

• BS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or related field required.
• 10+ years in mmWave/RFIC design with SiGe/CMOS/SOI.
• Experience with on-chip EM simulations and mixed-signal verification.

Responsibilities

• Design RF/mmWave front-end chipsets: PA, LNA, phase shifters, VGA, mixers, multipliers, synthesizers.
• Collaborate with RF system engineers to translate requirements into chip specs.
• Conduct on-chip EM simulations and co-optimize IC/package interfaces.
• Supervise front-end integration and drive production readiness.
• Engage with third-party design partners as needed.
