Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an experienced mmWave IC Design Engineer to develop RF/mmWave front-end integrated chips using SiGe, CMOS, and SOI technologies. You will design PAs, LNAs, phase shifters, VGAs, mixers, and synthesizers while partnering with RF system engineers on feasibility studies and architectures.

You will also design and simulate on-chip EM structures, collaborate with package teams for IC/package interfaces, and oversee front-end integration from development to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of mmWave/RFIC design experience using SiGe, CMOS, and SOI.
• Experience with various circuit topologies for mmWave front-ends and fully integrated on-chip implementations.
• Proven expertise in TX/RX analysis, modeling, and simulations for complex modulated waveforms.
• Hands-on mmWave IC characterization and debugging.
• Experience with on-chip EM simulations and DFM concepts.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Design RF/mmWave front-end chipsets (PAs, LNAs, phase shifters, VGAs, mixers, multipliers, synthesizers).
• Partner with RF system engineers to translate system requirements to chip specs.
• Design and simulate on-chip EM structures; collaborate on IC/package interfaces.
• Supervise chip-level front-end integration and optimization through development lifecycle.
• Work with third-party design partners.
