Job summary

Dialpad is seeking a product-focused leader to own the full model lifecycle for our AI products, including data, training, evaluation, release, and real-time inference infrastructure powering SLMs and the ASR stack.

You will collaborate with researchers, engineers, and product teams to deliver low-latency, reliable models in production. A hands-on background with models, plus 2+ years of product ownership, is required to succeed here.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of product ownership responsibilities.
• Fluency across the model and serving stack.
• Experience designing evals and deciding model changes.

Responsibilities

• Own product direction across the full model lifecycle for SLMs/ASR stack and real‑time inference infrastructure.
• Define data strategy: acquisition, consent and usage rights.
• Turn ambiguous model‑quality questions into decisions; define what good means.
• Sit inside eval reviews, error analyses, and incident retros as a peer.
• Treat internal teams as customers; align model capabilities with product and GTM needs.
• Make trade‑off calls: model quality vs latency, train vs fine‑tune vs buy.
• Write direction memos and specs engineers read.
• Release and rollback decisions for models.
