Samsara is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to own the cloud-side path for Safety AI, building resilient, low-latency ML backends and APIs that scale to millions of edge devices and cloud resources. You will work with applied scientists, firmware and full-stack engineers to deploy and monitor models end-to-end.

You will design production ML APIs, deploy pipelines for rapid iteration, and ensure reliability and cost-efficiency in production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience shipping models in production.
• Proficient in one or more languages such as C++, Golang, Java, Python, Scala.
• Experience with ML tools (Ray/Ray Serve, MLflow, Grafana, PyTorch, Spark).
• Comfort with full-stack/backend development and data structures underlying models.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Responsabilités

• Design Production ML APIs to integrate model outputs into cloud apps.
• Build scalable data flywheels for continuous model iteration and evaluation.
• Productionize model artifacts handed off by scientists and optimize serving logic.
• Process high-volume camera and sensor data for model execution and dataset curation.
• Monitor model drift, precision/recall, and latency in production; ensure robust rollback.
• Collaborate with firmware and platform teams to optimize edge-to-cloud execution.
• Translate safety requirements into scalable architectures with product teams.
