Job summary

Samsara is hiring a Machine Learning Engineer for Safety AI who will design production ML APIs, build data flywheels, and optimize artifacts for cloud-scale safety features.

You’ll partner with applied scientists, firmware and platform teams to deploy models, monitor performance, and ensure low latency, high-throughput inference across millions of devices. This remote role is open to candidates in the US or Canada. Join a high-impact team powering safer operations at scale.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Machine Learning or similar role with production shipping
• Proficiency in one or more languages (C++, Python, Java)
• Experience deploying/refining models with customer feedback loops
• BS/MS in Computer Science or related quantitative field

Responsibilities

• Design Production ML APIs to integrate model outputs into cloud apps
• Build scalable data flywheels for continuous model iteration and evaluation
• Optimize and serve model artifacts for production workloads
• Process high-volume camera and sensor data for model execution
• Monitor rollout health, drift, latency, and failure modes in production
• Collaborate with firmware and platform teams for edge-to-cloud execution
• Translate safety requirements into scalable technical architectures
• Champion Samsara’s growth and customer-centric culture
