Job summary

Samsara is seeking a Sr. Manager of Machine Learning to lead teams building end-to-end computer vision and ML for safety applications across edge devices and the cloud.

You will own model lifecycle, drive architectural decisions, and partner with firmware and platform teams to ship reliable, low-latency features for fleet operations. This remote US-based role requires 8+ years in ML/CV, 5+ years leading teams, and experience deploying CV/sensor fusion systems.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in applied ML or computer vision.
• 5+ years leading technical teams of scientists and engineers.
• Experience shipping CV/sensor fusion systems in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical direction for Samsara's on-device and cloud safety AI systems, balancing edge and cloud deployment.
• Lead a platform that fuses camera, IMU, GPS, and vehicle telemetry data to detect safety events with high precision and low latency.
• Own the full model lifecycle: data curation, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring, and iteration across fleet-scale deployments.
