Job summary

Samsara, a leading Connected Operations Cloud company, seeks a senior ML engineer to own the backend systems that productionize safety AI model outputs. You will build low-latency ML APIs, scalable data pipelines, and evaluation infra powering millions of edge devices and cloud processing.

You’ll partner with applied scientists, firmware, and product managers to ensure reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient deployments with strong rollout monitoring and safety signals.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in ML engineering or similar role with production models.
• Experience deploying models using customer feedback loops.
• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Design Production ML APIs to integrate model outputs into cloud apps.
• Build scalable data flywheels for model iteration, backtesting, and evaluation.
• Optimize and serve artifacts from scientists for platform workloads.
• Process high-volume camera and sensor data for model execution and dataset curation.
• Monitor rollout health, drift, precision/recall, and latency in production.
• Collaborate with firmware and platform teams for edge-to-cloud execution.
