Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to own the design and deployment of agent-based capabilities across government-focused platforms. You will drive production-ready solutions using GenAI, Agentic AI, NLP, and CV/RL techniques, shaping patterns in challenging, constrained environments.

You will collaborate with product and research teams, integrate models into production stacks, and mentor engineers while ensuring security and compliance constraints are respected.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying applied ML systems in production environments.
• Extensive experience with GenAI, Agentic AI, NLP, deep learning, RL, or computer vision in production.
• Track record of owning architectural decisions and defending tradeoffs.
• Experience shipping agentic systems with real production traffic and evaluation rigor.
• Strong programming skills in Python; experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Responsibilities

• Own design and delivery of end-to-end agent capabilities - architecture, implementation, and evaluation.
• Define new patterns in unestablished problem spaces and lead the build.
• Deploy state-of-the-art models into production to solve customer problems and taskers.
• Improve production models and agents through retraining and hyperparameter tuning while preserving performance.
• Build agent evaluation benchmarks, LLM judges, and verifiers to drive performance.
• Mentor at least one engineer and assist your manager with feasibility questions.
