Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to own end-to-end design and delivery of agent capabilities across generative AI, agentic AI, CV and RL in production environments.

You’ll take ownership of architectures, build them with a team, and ensure performance under security and compliance constraints. You will collaborate with product and research teams, mentor engineers, and interact with government users while traveling up to 10% for customer needs as Scale deploys

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML systems in production.
• Experience with GenAI, agentic AI, NLP, deep learning and deep reinforcement learning, or computer vision in production.
• Own architectural decisions and defend tradeoffs behind them.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design and delivery of agent capabilities.
• Define new patterns for unestablished problem spaces and lead the work to build them.
• Put state-of-the-art models into production to solve customer problems.
• Improve and maintain production models and agents via retraining and updates.
• Build agent-level evaluation benchmarks, LLM judges, and verifiers to hillclimb performance.
• Collaborate with product and research teams on high-impact initiatives.
• Build scalable ML infrastructure to automate ML services.
• Mentor engineers and address feasibility questions.
