Credit Acceptance is seeking a Senior Manager of Data Science to lead complex modeling initiatives across credit risk, collections, and operations. You will design and deploy advanced statistical and ML models to inform strategic decisions and mentor junior data scientists.

The role offers a flexible, work-from-home arrangement with occasional travel to the Southfield, Michigan office; strong leadership, communication, and business acumen are essential to elevate our analytics capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a quantitative field
• 8+ years in predictive modeling and analytics
• 6+ years applying ML in production
• Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and statistical tools (R, SAS)
• Experience with cloud platforms and MLOps tools

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and deployment of predictive models for credit risk, collections, and operations
• Integrate advanced ML techniques (e.g., ensemble models, deep learning, NLP)
• Mentor and support junior and peer-level data scientists
• Promote adoption of modern data science tools and platforms
• Present insights to senior and cross-functional stakeholders
• Drive experimentation with emerging techniques (e.g., causal inference, GenAI)
