Job summary

Credit Acceptance is seeking a Senior Analyst in Predictive Analytics and Machine Learning to design, develop, and maintain statistical and ML models that drive pricing, credit risk, and other business decisions. This role is a hands-on individual contributor focused on rigorous analysis and production monitoring.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, translate business objectives into analytical tasks, and ensure data quality for production deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, economics, engineering, computer science, or related discipline).
• 3+ years of experience applying analytical and programming skills in a business or research environment.
• Proficiency in one or more analytical and programming languages such as Python, SQL, R, or SAS.
• Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to apply quantitative methods creatively to business problems.
• Expertise in extracting, manipulating, and analyzing large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex ML models to optimize high-volume decisions and deliver measurable value.
• Monitor models in production and address performance issues.
• Write SQL and analytics code to extract and validate large multi-source datasets.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to address business questions and inform strategy.
• Translate business objectives into analytical tasks and technical specs.
• Ensure data quality and support testing for production deployment.
• Work from home with occasional travel to Southfield, MI; office option available.
