Job summary

Lockheed Martin Corporation in Owego, NY seeks an experienced Hardware Design / System Engineer to join our Mission Systems team. In this senior role, you will lead the development of advanced processing systems, guiding hardware design from requirements through integration and ensuring technical integrity and schedule commitments.

You will apply model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile practices to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or related discipline, with 9+ years of experience; or 7+ years with a related Master's degree.
• Experience with designing, developing, and integrating advanced processing systems.
• Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to at least Secret level and Interim Secret to start.

Responsibilities

• Support overall organizational process compliance, including management of the Hardware Development Process Implementation.
• Lead research, design, development, and testing of hardware and other electrical components for do
• Lead product development activities and provide technical guidance.
• Coordinate preparation of project documentation to meet customer contracts and company requirements.
• Ensure technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.
• Manage customer interfaces and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
• Leverage Digital Transformation tools to enhance development processes.
