Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Systems Engineering Lead to join our Mission Systems team in Owego, NY. You’ll lead development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, driving technical execution from requirements derivation through product integration.

You are a seasoned systems or hardware engineer with hands‑on hardware design and systems engineering experience, including advanced processing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or Systems Engineering or equivalent experience; 9+ years of professional experience, or 7+ years with a related Masters degree.
• Demonstrated leadership of hardware design efforts and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with advanced processing systems including hardware, software, and firmware elements.
• Experience collaborating with program personnel and cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development and provide technical direction to engineers across hardware, software, and firmware.
• Derive and manage requirements through design, integration, and verification.
• Ensure technical integrity, quality, and completeness of engineering deliverables.
• Support cost and schedule commitments while managing technical risks and priorities.
• Drive compliance with Systems Engineering and Hardware Development processes.
• Collaborate with customers, program leadership, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Leverage digital transformation practices, including model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile development.
