Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a proactive hardware engineer to join our research, design, and testing teams. You will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electronic systems, and document failures and fixes with precise records.

In this role you will lead lab equipment management, collaborate across disciplines, and apply strict quality standards while delivering hands-on solutions in a dynamic environment at Lockheed Martin.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related STEM discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience, or 3 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree.
• Experience with oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, RF equipment, and other lab/test equipment.
• Experience building custom cable assemblies.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives and approaches.
• Prior experience managing labs and lab equipment with complex electronics systems.
• Track record of hands on experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot hardware problems using fault analysis, signal tracing, and debugging.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as circuit boards, power supplies, or mechanical parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, calibration, and testing to prevent failures.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, or manufacturers to resolve hardware issues or to design repairs.
• Develop and implement repair procedures, protocols, and standards for efficient hardware maintenance.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify underlying causes and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, including documentation of faults, repairs, and test results.
