Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Owego, NY is seeking an experienced Hardware Design / System Engineer to join our Mission Systems team. In this senior role, you will contribute to Advanced Processing systems and subsystems from requirements through product integration, ensuring technical integrity and on-time delivery.

You will apply model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile methods within a Digital Transformation framework to drive innovation and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience with 5+ years; or 3 years with a related Master’s.
• Experience with designing/developing/integrating advanced processing systems.
• Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance at Secret level and Interim Secret to start.

Responsibilities

• Support overall organizational process compliance, including management of the Hardware Development Process Implementation.
• Lead product development activities and provide technical guidance.
• Ensure the technical integrity and completeness of deliverables.

The Work

Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Hardware Design / System Engineer to join our Mission Systems team. In this senior role, you will play a key part in the development of Advanced Processing systems and subsystems, supporting all aspects of hardware development from requirements derivation through product integration. You’ll work with teams to ensure the technical integrity, quality, and completeness of work, ensuring that project deliverables meet cost and schedule commitments. You will also utilize Digital Transformation practices, including model-based engineering, test automation, and Agile development, to define product capabilities and drive innovation.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, or System Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years or more of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
• Experience with designing / developing / integrating advanced processing systems.
• Experience with process reviews, audits and compliance.
• Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance to at least the Secret level and Interim Secret to start.

Desired Skills

• Experience with DOORS and NextGen DOORS.
• DOD customer experience.
• Experience in solving hardware/software interface problems.
• Experience developing processes and procedures to perform integration on advanced processing systems at all levels (System, sub-system, Module/Circuit Card Assembly).
• Experience working in classified environments.
• Drive execution through a Digital Engineering environment, leveraging Model-Based System Engineering, DevSecOps and Agile approaches.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $85300.00 - $158300.00
