RTX’s Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team seeks a Senior Electrical Systems Engineer to design missile guidance hardware and flight avionics in Tucson, AZ. You will architect electronic subsystems, validate requirements, and collaborate with government customers and suppliers.

The ideal candidate has a STEM bachelor’s with 8+ years of flight avionics experience, plus the ability to lead cross-functional programs and mentor teammates in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of prior flight avionics experience.
• An advanced degree may substitute for experience: Master’s = 2 years, Ph.D. = 4 years.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop electronic systems for missile guidance and flight avionics.
• Lead cross-functional teams through hardware lifecycle, from requirements to test.
• Collaborate with government customers and suppliers on designs and analysis.
• Mentor junior staff and participate in program reviews.
