Job summary

RTX, a leading aerospace and defense company, seeks an experienced Advanced Flight Avionics Engineer to join the Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team in the United States. You will apply electrical systems engineering to develop guidance hardware, architecture, requirements, integration and test for missiles, including RF, Navigation and Power domains.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in STEM with 8+ years of flight avionics experience; active U.S. government clearance is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 8+ years of flight avionics experience.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Experience with missile guidance electronics subsystems is valued and cross-functional leadership is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Guide a team through multiple phases of hardware systems lifecycle (designs and analysis).
• Architect new electronic systems and document subsystem requirements and test plans.
• Perform peer reviews as a subject matter expert and present to peers, management, and government customers.
• Collaborate with customers and suppliers and pursue root-cause investigations when needed.
