Job summary

RTX's Advanced Effector Guidance Systems team is looking for an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to develop guidance system hardware and flight avionics for missiles. You will architect electronic subsystems, define requirements, and lead design reviews in a multidisciplinary environment.

Ideal candidates have a STEM degree, 8+ years in flight avionics, and active DoD Secret clearance. Travel may be required as programs evolve, and mentoring is encouraged within a tight-knit team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) required.
• Advanced degree may substitute for additional years of experience (Master’s = 2 years, Ph.D. = 4 years).
• Active and transferable DoD security clearance required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Architect new electronic systems; develop and document subsystem requirements and test plans.
• Perform designs and analysis across hardware systems lifecycle; peer reviews as SME.
• Present to peers, management, and government customers; mentor and be mentored within Missile Systems culture.
• Support multiple programs and possible travel; collaborate with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
