Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Troy, AL seeks a Senior Manufacturing / Process Engineer for the Missile Assembly team. You will drive manufacturing process excellence on the shop floor and deliver digital tools to boost productivity.

Responsibilities include developing processes, integrating new assets, and leading continuous-improvement initiatives to improve quality and reduce cost. U.S. citizenship and Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline with 5+ years production engineering experience or 3+ years with a Master's degree.
• Ability to interpret product data models, drawings, parts lists and specifications.
• Experience conducting detailed failure analysis to determine root cause and corrective actions.
• Hands-on ability to perform missile assembly and test and repair tools and equipment.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance; pass ATF background checks.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical excellence on the production shop floor and shape manufacturing processes.
• Develop manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions.
• Integrate new assets and technologies into the factory.
• Support area-wide continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce cost.
• Troubleshoot, service, and repair process equipment and tooling.
