Job summary
Lockheed Martin in Troy, Alabama, is seeking a Manufacturing / Process Engineer for the weekend shift to drive technical excellence on the production shop floor and shape manufacturing processes for missile assembly.
The role requires interpreting complex drawings, lean manufacturing knowledge, and hands-on ability to work with assembly and test tooling. Eligible candidates must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining Interim Secret clearance; related experience helps ensure project success.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline at the Bachelor level and 1 year professional experience; or 5 years of related professional experience.
- Willingness to work the weekend shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 0430 to 1800.
Responsibilities
- Analyze engineering data to develop new manufacturing processes and detailed work instructions.
- Integrate new assets and technologies into the factory.
- Support area-wide continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance quality and reduce cost.
- Investigate root-cause of quality defects and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Troubleshoot, service, and repair process equipment and tooling.
