Placements24 client is seeking a seasoned Senior Mining Surveyor to join its Welkom operations in South Africa. You will lead precise surveys of underground and surface environments, maintain mine plans, and provide spatial data for planning and safety.

The role requires 7+ years in mining surveying, proficiency with AutoCAD, Carlson Survey and MineCAD, and underground surveying experience. A valid driver's license and willingness for extended hours are essential.

Qualifications

• National Diploma or Degree in Surveying or Mine Surveying.
• 7+ years of experience as a qualified surveyor in the mining industry.
• Proficiency with industry-standard surveying software (AutoCAD, Carlson Survey, MineCAD).
• Experience with underground surveying techniques and equipment is essential.
• Valid driver's license and ability to work extended hours when required.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct precise surveys of underground and surface mine environments using Total Stations, GPS, and laser scanners.
• Maintain and update mine plans, maps, and digital terrain models.
• Perform volumetric calculations for ore, waste, and infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with all surveying regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with engineers and geologists to provide accurate spatial data for planning and operations.
• Operate and maintain surveying equipment and software.
