Job summary

Careermine is seeking a Mine Planning Surveyor to develop, design, and communicate comprehensive mine plan designs. You will work with dragline design, dozer pads, topsoil limits, and related truck/shovel files, while collecting production data for end-of-month reporting.

Ideal candidates have 5–7 years in mining surveying/engineering, a relevant bachelor's degree, and proficiency in AutoCAD/SurvCadd and Vulcan software. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

Strong math and surveying skills with ability to perform volumetric calculations.
Experience in using survey data to develop base mapping for mining operations.
Proficient in AutoCAD/SurvCadd and Vulcan software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5–7 years of mining-related surveying/engineering experience.
Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Technology, or Mining/Civil Engineering, or related field.
FE/EIT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop, design, and communicate mine plan designs including dragline and dozer pad designs.
Develop and maintain maps for mine planning and grading files.
Collect and record production and engineering data for monthly reports.
Create schedules for mine plans to meet coal shipment targets.
Support engineering projects and special initiatives as needed.
Perform safety observations and audits monthly.
