Job summary

Morrison-Maierle, Boise, ID, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Process Engineer - Mining to lead complex mining, industrial, and process engineering projects. This exempt-salaried role requires client collaboration, technical leadership, and staff mentorship.

Qualifications

• PE license required or able to obtain licensure within defined timeframe
• Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, mining, or petroleum engineering (ABET-accredited)
• Progressive experience in mechanical process engineering for mining, oil & gas, water, or wastewater projects
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical process engineering principles and calculations
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing client relationships

Responsibilities

• Consult with clients on process optimization needs and design improvements for mining, industrial water treatment, and oil & gas projects
• Design processes for throughput, equipment sizing, and piping systems
• Lead project teams to successful completion and mentor staff
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment sizing; draft technical specs and procurement documents
• Develop capital and operating expense estimates; manage projects per Morrison-Maierle standards
• Support business development in the Industrial Market sector; maintain client relationships
