Job summary

BBA Consultants is seeking a senior Mechanical and Piping Engineer to lead proposals and projects in the mining and metals sectors across the United States and Canada. The role emphasizes delivering high-quality technical solutions, mentoring junior engineers, and maintaining strong client relationships, with occasional site visits.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, US PE license or eligibility, 15+ years of relevant experience, and expertise in piping, bulk material

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and PE licensure (US).
• 15+ years of mining, energy or heavy industry experience.
• Experience in multidisciplinary consult­ing environments.
• Ability to interpret process diagrams (PFDs, P&IDs) and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering studies, design, and project delivery across sites.
• Develop layouts, perform sizing calculations, and select equipment.
• Mentor junior engineers and review engineering work.
• Support proposals, business development, and client relationships.
