Job summary

AECOM is seeking a motivated and technically strong surface Senior Mining Engineer I to join our growing Mining team supporting projects across North America.

The successful candidate will contribute to mining projects from early-stage studies through detailed engineering and construction support while collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams. Travel about 20% domestically and internationally; strong analytical and communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mining Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or progression toward PE licensure is considered an asset.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support mining projects from early-stage studies through detailed engineering and construction support.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design packages for mining projects.
• Travel approximately 20% domestically and internationally.
