Qualifications

Degree in Mining Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of progressive experience in the mining industry, focusing on mine planning and operations.
Experience with mine design software and simulation tools.
Strong understanding of open-pit and underground mining methods.
Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng) registration is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement long-term and short-term mine plans, including production scheduling and resource allocation.
Oversee the design and selection of mining equipment and technology to enhance productivity and safety.
Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for new mining projects and expansions.
Monitor mining operations, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Mentor and guide junior engineering staff, fostering continuous improvement and technical excellence.
