Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Mine Maintenance Engineer in the George area of the United States to oversee maintenance of mining equipment, underground systems, and processing plants. You will develop robust maintenance strategies, lead technicians, and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to maximize uptime and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering and at least 5 years in maintenance engineering within mining or heavy industrial

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years in maintenance engineering, preferably in mining or heavy industrial sectors.
• Experience with preventative maintenance techniques and CMMS.
• Strong knowledge of heavy equipment such as drills, excavators, crushers, and conveyors.
• Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage preventative and corrective maintenance programs for mining machinery and infrastructure.
• Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring safe and efficient work.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy-duty equipment.
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure adequate stock levels for critical components.
• Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential equipment failures and safety hazards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce costs.
