Job summary

SLR Consulting (Americas) seeks a senior Principal Mine Permitting & NEPA Consultant to guide high-profile mining projects in Arizona and the Southwest. You will lead regulatory strategies, engage regulators and stakeholders, and manage multi-disciplinary teams across the Americas.

You will drive business development, mentor staff, and ensure regulatory excellence while representing SLR in public forums and hearings. A senior client-facing role with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years’ experience with permitting, compliance and NEPA in mining.
• Strong consulting background with client relationships and growth.
• Experience delivering regulatory support to mining clients.
• Deep knowledge of US federal and state environmental regulations.
• Established reputation in the mining industry with regulatory engagement.
• Ability to lead, mentor and inspire technical teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional designation with a relevant professional body.

Responsibilities

• Lead consulting projects for key mining clients in the Southwest and beyond.
• Mentor rising talent and foster collaboration across disciplines.
• Strategize growth for SLR’s mining practice and cross-sell opportunities.
• Represent SLR in regulatory hearings and industry associations.
