Job summary

Amrize is seeking a skilled Millwright/Maintenance technician to support our heavy industrial facility in Michigan. You will install, maintain and repair conveyors, pumps, motors, gearboxes and related equipment, both in the shop and in the field, with a focus on safety and efficiency.

You will read blueprints, align machinery, weld and fabricate as needed, and coordinate with teams to minimize downtime while upholding MSHA standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade training preferred.
• 3 years aggregate or bulk material industry experience preferred.
• Must be able to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
• Must be willing to work extended weeks, including weekends.
• Welding and fabrication capabilities required.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and installs equipment such as conveyors, feed bins, chute liners, screen media, reducers & gearboxes, bearing replacement.
• Perform motor and gearbox alignment and installation.
• Constructs structures for equipment.
• Perform repair and maintenance involving disassembly, overhaul, assembly, and adjustments of crushing components.
• Maintain, dismantle, repair, and replace mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
• Maintain proper tool/parts inventory for specified jobs.
• Capable of rigging heavy, large complex parts.
• Use hand or power tools for measuring, cutting, welding, threading, bending, and installing pipes and fittings.
• Complete maintenance projects in a timely manner to support production goals.
• Maintain up-to-date written or data input sheets on equipment repairs.
• Ensure repairs meet manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
• Plan sequences from blueprints or sketches for fabricating tools or assemblies.
• Follow MSHA safety regulations and promote a safety culture.
