Job summary

Beacon Recycling Inc is seeking an experienced Millwright to diagnose and repair heavy industrial equipment across our Michigan facility. You will work on shredders, conveyors, balers, and related systems, performing precision repairs and fabrications to keep the operation running smoothly.

You will troubleshoot hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical controls, read technical drawings, and coordinate with teams to install and relocate large equipment. A Journeyman certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Millwright certification preferred, otherwise equivalent industrial maintenance experience considered.
• Experience with heavy industrial maintenance, welding, fabrication and mechanical repair is required.
• Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings and blueprints is essential.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical failures on shredders, conveyors, balers, loaders and related equipment.
• Perform precision repairs using welding, cutting, machining and fabrication.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems.
• Read blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to guide repairs.
• Install, rig, relocate and rebuild large industrial equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Respond quickly to unexpected breakdowns to keep production running.
• Collaborate with operators, electricians and mechanics to solve production challenges.
