Job summary

Amrize is seeking a Maintenance Technician to safely inspect, repair, install and maintain plant equipment across North America, ensuring optimal plant performance and safe operations.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, weld and fabricate parts, read drawings and follow engineering specs while collaborating with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and injury risk.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical systems.
• Skilled in welding, cutting, grinding, drilling, and mechanical assembly.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Plan and prioritize maintenance activities independently or within a team.
• Adhere to safety policies including LOTO, Working at Heights (WAH), and confined space procedures.
• Operate mobile equipment safely (forklift, man lift, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all plant equipment, including conveyors, pumps, crushers, dryers, separators, gearboxes, and rotary equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Fabricate, weld, cut, and assemble mechanical components or replacement parts as needed.
• Install, align, and move mechanical equipment according to engineering specifications and drawings.
• Safely operate mobile equipment such as forklifts, man lifts, and service trucks as required.
• Document maintenance activities accurately and communicate findings to plant management.
• Collaborate with production, electrical, and operations teams to schedule and complete work efficiently.
• Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with plant clean-up and other support activities as needed to maintain safe, efficient operations.
