Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience as Information Technology professional
• Middleware products: Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere Application Server, Tomcat
• BPM products: Appian
• Operating System: Linux
• Java/Container Framework Knowledge
• Knowledge of Shell, Python, and Perl scripting
• Understanding of Network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, Load-balancers, firewalls, proxies, B2B links)
• Experience with Release Deploy Tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, BitBucket
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Provide middleware administration for critical banking platforms end-to-end (WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, WXS)
• Deliver middleware enterprise projects and regulatory initiatives
• Ensure production stability and ongoing support
• Patch middleware platforms and manage risk to customers
• Administer middleware servers including install, config, and performance tuning
• Collaborate with application/testing teams for middleware and Java support
• Create, maintain and support deployment templates
• Advise on J2EE best practices and architecture decisions
• Design middleware infrastructure for high availability and failover
• Communicate with business partners at enterprise level
• Interface with internal customers and external vendors during SDLC
• Execute production changes for regulatory releases
• Provide SME guidance on diverse technologies and standards
• Translate business requirements into technical blueprints and playbooks
• Evaluate reference models for fit and purpose
• Develop solutions to automate manual or inefficient processes
• Evaluate third-party products during firm adoption
• Support an inclusive and healthy work environment
• Contribute to functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements
