Job summary

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT experience with middleware and enterprise platforms.
• Experience with Apache, J2EE, Java, JBoss, WebSphere AS, Tomcat.
• Linux proficiency and shell, Python, and Perl scripting.
• Understanding of network infrastructure (HTTP/S, TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, load balancers).
• Experience with Release Deploy Tools: Ansible, Ansible Tower, XLR, Bitbucket.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides middleware administration end-to-end for core banking platforms (WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, WXS).
• Delivers middleware enterprise projects and regulatory initiatives.
• Ensures production stability from a support perspective.
• Patches middleware platforms with current software versions to manage risk.
• Provides middleware server installation, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Works with application/testing teams for middleware and Java support.
• Creates, maintains, and supports deployment templates.
• Serves as a J2EE architect and advises on J2EE best practices.
• Designs middleware infrastructure for high availability and failover.
• Ensures solutions meet policy, baseline, standards and business requirements.
• Provides technical consultation and interfaces with business partners and vendors during SDLC.
• Executes production changes for releases with precision.
