Job summary

Provident Bank is seeking a Relationship Manager II for the Middle Market Lending team to originate and manage complex credit relationships with privately held businesses generating $100MM–$1B in revenue.

The role emphasizes business development, relationship management, and cross‑selling across depository, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and other commercial products. Strong credit acumen and judgment are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of progressive commercial lending experience with middle-market exposure.
• Strong credit acumen, judgment, and ability to advise sophisticated clients.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for client and credit committee interactions.

Responsibilities

• Originate new middle market lending relationships through proactive business development.
• Build and expand long-term client relationships with business owners and C-suite executives.
• Identify cross-sell opportunities for deposits, Treasury Management, Wealth Management, and other products.
• Structure and evaluate complex credit opportunities; prepare loan presentations and risk analyses.
• Monitor portfolio quality, covenant compliance, and collaborate withCredit/Risk teams.
